Charles Vaden started his career with a mechanical engineering degree from Clemson University, joined the Marine Corps and serve 11 years as a Harrier pilot, then an engineer and quality control specialist for Link Flight Simulation. After 2 years there he was hired by FEDEX as a pilot, and joined the Air Force and Air national Guard flying F-16,serving a combat tour in Iraq, and also flying and working for NASA. He has published several fiction and non-fiction books, and had considerable knowledge of space dynamics and spacecraft systems. He has extrapolated his current aerodynamic and space mechanics knowledge to bring us this fictional space family of what easily one day could  come true; but as he is fond of saying many times; "If you can't exceed the speed of light, you aren't going anywhere!"
